TF260107 while installing Lab Management

by Ewald Hofman 11. July 2010 22:02

I am installing Lab Management on my local machine for test and demo purposes. The installation is not very easy because Lab Management heavily relies on multiple tools in the Microsoft stack that I am not familiar with, especially System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM). However Microsoft has a nice article how to set things up: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd380687.aspx

During the installation, you need to configure TFS to use Lab Management (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd380687.aspx#ConfigureTFS). When I followed the steps, I got an error message (TF206107) I was unable to solve.

I found out that you cannot use a local account while installing Lab Management. You need to use the domain account.
